Someone said, “To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing.” Prayer is a practice where disciples of Jesus communicate with God. The practice of prayer is modeled throughout scripture and followers of God are repeatedly encouraged to pray regularly. As we draw close to the end of the year, we will be invited to participate in a 28-day prayer challenge.

While we are inundated with plenty of personal items and issues to bring before God, we are not exempt from the call to pray for one another. The book of Acts contains many episodes of the early church engaging in communal prayer. We will explore an example in this sermon.
