Growing Pains

Paul tells the Corinthians he cannot speak to them as spiritual people because they are still infants in Christ. The evidence is not their theology; it is their jealousy and quarreling. Spiritual maturity is not measured by how much we know but by how we treat one another. Paul then shifts the image: the church is a field God grows, a building God builds, a temple God inhabits.
