Dining With Jesus
In ancient cultures, mealtimes were much more than a moment to fulfill physical nutrition. Eating with others signified connection, comradery, and community. The gospels present multiple stories where Jesus was criticized for eating with the wrong people. These stories also contain some of Jesus most impactful teaching. Our 2024 Lenten journey will zero in on these mealtime encounters with Jesus. May we find renewed ways to connect to Jesus and others as we dine.
