Going Under. Rising Up. Living Changed.
Baptism is a core practice in the Christian faith, rooted in Jewish ceremonial washing and carried forward in the life and teaching of the early church. While baptism is shared across Christian traditions, it has also been the source of debate, division, and misunderstanding. This series is not an attempt to settle arguments or elevate one tradition over another. Instead, it is an invitation to slow down, listen carefully to Scripture, and rediscover the life-shaping power of baptism in the journey of discipleship.
All In invites us to see baptism not merely as a moment, but as a movement of God in our lives. Going under the water represents surrender. Rising up points to new life in Christ. Living changed calls us to embody that new life in the world. Together, these three weeks explore baptism as a gift of grace that shapes identity, forms character, and sends believers into the world with purpose and hope.

Into the World
by Dion Frasier
Preaching
Baptism is not the end of the journey; it is the beginning of a new way of living. Having gone into the water and risen to new life, believers are sent into the world as witnesses to God's transforming grace. We will consider what it means to live as people who carry Christ's presence into ordinary spaces, embodying faith through love, service, and courageous obedience. Baptism marks not only who we belong to, but who we are becoming and how we are called to participate in God's ongoing work of renewal in the world.

Preaching
Baptism is not only a personal moment with God. It is also a public entrance into a new family. When we are baptized into Christ, we are also baptized into His body, the Church. This message explores how the Holy Spirit equips believers for ministry, connects us to one another, and calls us to live out our faith together. Into the Church invites us to move beyond private faith and step fully into shared mission, shared responsibility, and shared life as the people of God.

Out of the Water
by Dion Frasier
Preaching
Scripture consistently describes baptism as a moment of death and resurrection. Going under the water symbolizes the end of an old way of life, while rising up represents new life in Christ. In this sermon, we will reflect on what it means to leave behind patterns shaped by sin, fear, and self-centeredness, and to embrace a life shaped by grace, freedom, and transformation. Baptism does not erase struggle, but it redefines who we are and how we live. Being raised from the water is a call to walk in newness of life, empowered by God's Spirit and sustained by hope.

Into the Water

Preaching
Jesus' baptism offers a powerful and surprising starting point for understanding this sacred practice. Though sinless, Jesus steps into the waters alongside ordinary people, affirming God's work of repentance, renewal, and restoration. In this message, we will explore how baptism invites humility, obedience, and trust, and how entering the waters marks the beginning of an intimate walk with God. Baptism is not about achieving spiritual perfection, but about responding to God's call with openness and faith, allowing God to name us as beloved and claim us as His own.
