Breaking the Silence

Breaking the Silence

Mental Health and Faith

Series start date: November 3rd, 2024

According to Ipsos research, Mental Health is the number one health concern.  Jesus followers are not exempt from struggling with mental health.  However, Christians are often shamed when they struggle with the mental well-being.  This causes many to remain silent about their struggle.  In this series, we will explore the intersection of mental well-being and the Christian faith.  We will offer biblical perspectives on mental health and highlight the hope found in scripture for a healthy way forward.

    Preaching

Simply put, we often need permission to admit that we are struggling mentally. Our society has made it taboo to struggle mentally. Those who suffer are called weak and this induces shame. In this sermon, we will highlight that people of faith have always struggled with mental wellness. It is human to struggle, and God is available to meet us in our struggle.
