We introduce the story of Joseph by probing a clear theme present in the book of Genesis. Throughout Genesis, there are stories of sibling rivalry and family dysfunction. It is no surprise that the story of Joseph follows suit with a expansive narrative regarding his family history and dysfunction. As we will see, this dysfunction seems to be a part of Joseph’s family DNA.
