Built Together

Built Together

For the Sake of the Body

Series start date: August 2nd, 2026

The church was never meant to be a building we attend or a service we watch. It is a body, living, connected, and interdependent, where every member matters and no one is a spectator. When God builds His church, He does not simply gather a crowd of individuals. He knits them together for the sake of one another.

Over these four weeks, we will explore what it means to be built together as the people of God. We will discover that every member has a role to play, that leaders exist to equip rather than dominate, that biblical shepherds lead through humility and care, and that recognizing spiritual leaders is finally about becoming a spiritually mature church together. This is more than a study of church structure. It is an invitation to shared ownership, shared service, and a shared future.

As we consider leadership, service, and maturity, we are also preparing our hearts. The health of the body depends not only on those who lead, but on every member who chooses to belong, to serve, and to build. A church, after all, is only as strong as the people who build it together.

    Shepherds Among the Flock

    Dion Frasier

    Preaching

Biblical shepherds lead through humility, care, example, and spiritual attentiveness. Peter calls elders to shepherd the flock of God among them, not lording it over those entrusted to them, but serving as examples. Paul reminds the Ephesian elders to keep watch over themselves and over the flock the Spirit has appointed them to oversee. This message explores the heart of servant leadership and spiritual oversight, inviting us to pray for discernment as we seek shepherds who lead the way Christ led, with a servant’s heart and a shepherd’s care. Built to Serve

    Preaching

Spiritual leadership exists to equip God’s people for works of service and for maturity in Christ. Paul describes leaders not as those who dominate the church, but as those who prepare and release the whole church for ministry. The work of the gospel belongs to every believer, and leaders are given so that the body can grow into fullness and unity. In this message, we will consider how healthy leadership shepherds a congregation toward maturity, so that the body builds itself up in love and each part grows into who God has called it to be.

    Every Part Matters

    Dion Frasier

    Preaching

The church is healthiest when every member understands that they belong and have a role to play. Paul reminds the Corinthians that the body is made up of many parts, each one necessary and none dispensable. No member can say to another, "I have no need of you." In this message, we will explore the beauty of every-member ministry and the gift of interdependence, discovering that the Spirit has equipped each of us for the good of the whole. As we begin to ask, "Where can I serve?" we recognize that the body flourishes only when every part does its work.

We strive to be imitators of Christ by glorifying God, uplifting one another, serving our neighbors, and sharing the promise of eternal life. Join us!
