Like many of the letters of the New Testament, 1 Peter was a letter written to a growing community of Jesus followers who were experiencing severe persecution. The author of this letter was fully aware that everyday life would be impacted by their commitment to the way of Jesus. This practical letter is full of encouraging and inspiring words that resonate with the lives of Jesus followers in 2019. We will explore this letter in detail during this sermon series.
